With the exception of #1, #20, and #19, all of the quilts below are of my own design and inspiration.  #1 was my first quilt, a baby gift for my new granddaughter in 2011, and I used a pattern for that one. #20 was pieced by my daughter, Christina, #25 was based on a very tiny quilt pattern but colors changed and much was added, #19 was a quilt top found at a Pennsylvania yard sale and gifted to me barren of any embellishment. I added appliqué, lace, and scalloped the border to make the designs pop.  All others pictured in this gallery are made without a pattern, by improvisation.  I find it gratifying to come up with new creations from my imagination.

Some accomplishments......

"Fandango Transformation" was published in "Machine Quilting Unlimited" magazine's September/October 2015 issue on page 71. It was chosen to be included in the 2017 International Quilt Festival, in Houston, TX for the exhibit "In the American Tradition: Appliqué". It was also featured in all the Quilt Market brochures, the postcard mailings announcing the festival, and the Quilt Festival booklet.

"Hexi-Daisies" was featured on January 4, 2016 on the APQS Facebook timeline.
"Star and Points Spinning on a Square" was featured on Craftsy Quilting Club's Facebook page. See the feature here:

"Magical Fairy Garden" was featured in the Stitchers Showcase at Embroidery Library on June 24, 2015.
